Its tough being an up and coming artist in the world today! Its an uphill battle for most artists trying to get your work recognized and accepted at galleries. So its truly unique to see a young artist take time to go above and beyond the call of duty… Since AM last saw Ana Bagayan at Baby Tattooville, she has been busy getting ready for her upcoming show with Billy Shire and recently announced a show with Dorothy Circus in Italy. Yet with a such a heavy workload, Ana has somehow found the time to take an active role in cultivating the next generation’s talent with the ANRA scholarship.
The ANRA scholarship is an 18 and under art scholarship designed to encourage next generation’s artists to draw and create. There are two age segments: 12-15 and 16-18 with multiple prizes up to $1000. Its refreshing to know an artist who works so diligently at her own craft also give back and take an active part in the development of the coming generation.
If you know any aspiring artists ages 12-18 please encourage them to create and participate in this wonderful contest! But hurry, the deadline is this Friday, November 28th! Ana has extended the deadline to recieve entries to Monday, December 15th as to give more time for additional entries to get in!
