When AM visited James Jean’s “Kindling” show at Jonathan Levine (here), the gallery served up some delicious wine with some of JJ’s artwork on it. Turns out that James designed three series of wine labels for California-based Grateful Palate. There are three different types of wine in the line: “Southern Belle” Shiraz, “Diddley Boo” Riesling, and “Poor Thing” Grenache. Each bottle has one of three different artwork on the label.
So, continuing with our coverage of artist & vineyard collaborations (here) that entertain the eyes and taste buds, we bring you some behind-the-scene images of JJ’s original artwork from which these beautiful bottles were designed with.
See the images after the jump.
