Jeff Soto gave an interesting talk along with a slideshow last night at the Riverside Art Museum to his strong fan base in the area. He covered his graffiti roots, childhood, inspirations, and took the audience through a progression of his work. It was very instructive to hear what was important (family, Riverside area, politics, etc) to Jeff in his painting, and to really understand the transitions and beginnings of his work. Afterwards, he took time to sign books and chat with all his fans.
