Romanywg just sent over some images from Matt Small’s (interviewed) show “Youngstarrs” that opened at Black Rat Press Gallery last night (UK time). This was somewhat of a coming out party for Matt, in our humble opinion, as he was able to show case his talents fully with a diverse and amazing body of work. Hopefully, he will get the even more deserved recognition after this well-received show.
There were many stunning paintings on found objects, but none more so than the showstoppers – large paintings on car hoods hanging from the ceiling. His signature loose, colorful, and textured style was on display along with some pieces intricately constructed form multiple pieces of metal. Take a look after the jump.
