Art tattoos have always been fascinating to us because it requires a truly hardcore art collector or fan to permanently affix an image to their skin. It’s an interesting completion of a circle as we return to one of this art movement’s roots – tattoo art. The movement has evolved so much to include so many different artists, that the term “low brow” is controversial now, but we can agree that the beginnings, by definition, included artists not respected by mainstream collectors and institutions, one of which were tattoo artists.
