Releases: James Jean x Pressure Printing – “Kindling”

When it comes to limited edition releases, one of the best in the game is Pressure Printing. This time they have teamed up with James Jean (interviewed) to produce this beautiful hand-finished print entitled “Kindling” (named after his last solo show) in a super-limited run of 10 (plus 5 Artist’s Proofs, 5 Printer’s Proofs, and 1 Bon á tirer).  No word how much this will go for yet but one will go into Asian Art Musuem’s permanent collection and a benefit auction by Hayao Miyazaki […]

Shepard Fairey x Arkitip – Launch Party & Installation @ ALIFE (Hollywood)

As we previously reported, Arkitip is putting out a special collaboration issue with Shepard Fairey and the release is right around the corner. To celebrate the launch of Issue 51 and all it’s Obey goodies, ALIFE is transforming their Hollywood retail location into a mini-gallery to host the release with Mr. Fairey. Art Focus: Li Xiaofeng

Just as sculptor Jin Young Yu (interviewed), Wang Zhi Jie and Ayako Rokkaku caught our eye at Art Basel Miami last year, the recent Art Hong Kong fair introduced us to the stunning porcelain dress of Beijing artist Li Xiaofeng. Xiaofeng creates clothing from porcelain fragments from the Ming, Qing and Song dynasties and even more amazing are that they are wearable. Take a closer look after the jump…
