Who can take a stack of hard cardboard or a cold brick wall and create a sensually hypnotic work of art? Mode 2 can. The artist known for his erotic urban techniques opened “Reality, Fantasy, And The Web” (previewed) at Lazarides last weekend. For a show that was created completely on location in the Newcastle gallery, it’s fascinating how Mode 2 was able to work with the gritty surroundings he was given and transform it into visually arresting and erotic snapshots.
