Everyone’s favorite FREE subversive culture, art, photo, and music magazine, VICE, is soon releasing their annual Photo Issue. To celebrate, VICE, in association with G-Shock, will be hosting a photo exhibition. The launch event will be held on Aug 12th at The Printspace in London. The show will remain there for two weeks before touring to Spain, Italy, and France.

The launch is sure to be a momentous celebration, as the Photo Issue contains a whopping 205 pages and will be simultaneously published in 22 countries. Work will be featured by VICE’s leading photographers and this year, portraiture is heavily emphasized throughout the exhibition and issue. The exhibition itself includes exclusive newly commissioned work, photos pulled from the archives and not yet seen, and new work from artists including Richard Kern, Angela Boatwright, Maggie Lee, and Dana Goldstein.
According to VICE, highlights of the show include:
·      Black and White by Terry Richardson (shown very top of article) and Moonage Daydream by Ryan McGinley – images from both series have been used for two separate covers of the August issue of VICE.
·     Archival Girls by Richard Kern – early photos of old friends, old friend’s girlfriends, strangers and strippers.
·      Mystic Heather and Virgin Snow by Tim Barber – photographs from a portrait series of friend Julia in and around New York, and up in the woods of Western Mass.
·      Three Photos by Peter Sutherland
·      Jailbait Core by Dana Goldstein
·      Hackney Unicyclists by Alex Sturrock
