This past Saturday marked the opening of Barry McGee and Clare Rojas’ exhibition “Leave It Alone” & “Together At Last” (respectively) at the Bolinas Museum. The quaint community in northern California landed a double-stack of works featuring both iconic artists. We last saw the dynamic duo showing together last spring at New Image Art and this time the latest exhibition was indeed museum-worthy. McGee created floor to ceiling installations showcasing everything from his trademark bottles to his diverse pattern paintings to surprising goodness such as sculptures and surfboards hanging over the patrons.

Clare Rojas also had a strong showing utilizing her signature gouache style and cartoonish folk figures casting ironic scenarios. Of course with Rojas, her alter ego Peggy Honeywell also made a appearance and performed for all the extremely lucky peeps that rolled out to Bolinas to experience this combo exhibition. This tremendous show lasts until August 1st, so make it a point to stop by if you’re up in No-Cal.

Check out all the works after the jump.

Thanks to our boy Gamma888 for the great pictures.
