Representing San Francisco, the amazing David Choong Lee recently hauled down over 400 of his favorite works to LeBasee Projects in Culver City. The prolifically staged exhibition is as complete a representation of the artist’s skills as one imagines you can get.

Lee takes over the entire gallery himself and the solo show features installations of panels, some from found materials, such as wooden wine crates, and has an architectural feel, as they rest on tables and balance on pillars. The artist explores such social issues as homelessness, youth culture, and today’s urban struggles and lifestyles. The vivid, colorful, and figurative works seem to pulsate from the walls as they immerse you in the artist’s universe. It is a real experience to be able to view this show and visiting the gallery is highly recommended if you want to “acquire signal”.
