Hold onto your seats. Two monumental events will occur on one night in Venice, CA on Sept. 25. First, Paul McCarthy, the Los Angeles-based artist – one of the most important of his generation – returns for his first solo exhibition in his hometown after a 10 year absence. Secondly, L&M Arts, the venerable New York gallery, debuts its Los Angeles branch with a space designed by WHY architecture and directed by Sarah Watson, former Deitch Projects director and Gagosian Beverly Hills associate.
From the teaser image and title of the show, McCarthy will be showing new sculptures that will surely blow everyone’s minds once again. This will be one of the most exciting exhibitions anywhere this fall season.
More after the jump…
