Sometimes it’s good to take a second look. That’s what happened when we did a double-take at Sputnik Gallery and discovered Irina Davis. When we first passed by her alluring works, we thought they were simply painted pin-up model pieces. But then upon closer inspection, we noticed that they were real models in pin-up poses. The twist that got us is that Irina actually paints the faces and certain details with watercolor to give the realistic photos a touch of fantasy and character. Davis’ show runs until October 23rd at Sputnik Gallery.
