Time flies… This year’s Baby Tattooville (see our 2009 and 2010 coverage) is creeping up on us and will go down the weekend of October 7-9. Scheduled as a reunion of sorts, much of the alumni will be returning so those attending will be surrounded by an even larger contingent of artists. As of now, Amy Sol, Anthony Ausgang, Gris Grimly, Elizabeth McGrath, Johnny Ryden, KRK Ryden, Brandi Milne, Miss Mindy, Luke Chueh, Travis Louie, Van Arno, Tara McPherson, Buff Monster, KMNDZ, James Gurney, Bob Dob, and Coop have confirmed but you can expect more to be announced as the event draws closer.
As is customary, the event will be associated with a show at the Riverside Art Museum located right next to the Mission Inn (site of the annual art retreat). This year’s exhibition is entitled Baby Tattooville On Parade. The piece above, Marketplace of Ideas, from James Gurney will be one of the pieces included. Although the tickets are sold out for the private components of the event, the opening for this museum show free for all to attend.
