Recently, AM was fortunate enough to visit the studio of artist Brian M. Viveros. In preparation for his show titled Returning Art To The Unclean opening on September 3rd, the artist has further expands on his signature style which often features extremely sensual women under an aura of pin up style imagery. Working with portraits instead of full body images, Viveros’ style carries a weight of emotion and feeling that’s often hidden underneath the gaze of his female creations. The various influences which he borrows from range from wrestling to religion but in the end, he manages to leave his very unique stamp on every piece of art he creates. This is good news for fans and art enthusiasts since he’ll be showing original paintings as well as rare prints screened onto wood.
On top of the incredible artwork that he has prepared for this show, the exhibit will bring the artist’s other interests onto the gallery space. His films will screen during the exhibit’s opening and the event will be accompanied by a live Smoking Army performance provided by Kiki Valentine of The Sunday Show.
