AM recently attended the annual RxArt benefit gala. The non-profit organization dedicated to placing original fine art (see Jeff Koons) in patient and examination rooms of hospitals have long garnered the staunch support from some other big names in art such as Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Yoshitomo Nara, Marilyn Minter and Ed Ruscha. This year the silent auction was once again filled with impressive original works from notables such as Nate Lowman, José Parlá, Matthew Brannon, Aurel Schmidt, Terry Richardson, Ed Templeton, Tim Barber, Robert Lazzarini and David Hammons just to name a few. Top notch art mixed with delicious cocktails made for a night of fierce bidding benefiting this great cause.
