We have featured Patrick Martinez and his neon signage before here on AM, especially the coverage of his solo show Hustlemania at Known Gallery back in March. This particular aspect of his work typically is influenced by hip hop phraseology leading a transformation of this common advertising motif into something completely different.
Fans will now be able to add one of these signs affordably to their collection as Patrick is releasing a unique limited edition. WORD PLAY will come in a run of 20, sized at 13″ x 8″ and will be available Wednesday, September 7th, at Noon PST exclusively at the Known Gallery online store for $475. Also, look for Patrick’s solo in Hawaii at our friend Jasper and Tiffany’s gallery Loft In Space in December.
