Release/Benefit: Banksy – ‘Fragile/Agile’

Continuing his support for humanitarian causes around the globe, Banksy is releasing a new screen print in partnership with Giles Duley’s Legacy of War Foundation. The proceeds will help those directly impacted by Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine by allowing the Foundation to purchase ambulances and generators as the country heads into the harsh winter months. The image features a white mouse whose claw marks, individually made by Banksy with a sharpened pizza cutter, have obscured the first two letters of the work ‘fragile’. The […]

Releases: Taku Obata – “Chikyū (Earth)”

In collaboration with Fluorescent Smogg, Taku Obata will shortly be releasing a new oversized edition entitled Chikyū (Earth). While the Tokorozawa-based artist is perhaps best known for his sculptural work created using traditional Japanese woodworking techniques, he is also a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes painting, illustrated videos and, as with this latest release, screen printing. Dance, and specifically breaking, is the foundation of all his work in these varied mediums and a consideration for balance, body shape and posture remain common themes throughout. The […]

Releases: Eddie Martinez – “Blockhead Lamp”

Eddie Martinez has recently teamed up with AllRightsReserved to release a new edition based on one of the reoccurring motifs in his paintings. Produced in an edition of 100, Blockhead Lamp is handcrafted from stainglass, comes signed and numbered, and mirrors the skull-like imagery that often appears in the Brooklyn-based artist’s work. Martinez further explains – “I started drawing this blockhead form in 2005. In retrospect I can see they were a direct response to my obsession with Guston, particularly his masonry work. I have a distinct memory of […]

Releases: Perrier x Murakami

Continuing their longstanding support for the arts, PERRIER recently collaborated with Takashi Murakami on a range of new bottles. Some of the Japanese artist’s signature motifs – his smiling flowers and kaikai kiki characters – are contrasted nicely against the classic green bottles from the French mineral water brand. Murakami further explains – “When PERRIER® first approached me, I felt extremely lucky to have the opportunity to collaborate with this sparkling water brand with such a long history. It held many positive associations for me – for example, […]

The edition, which will come in two versions – gray & blue, was adapted from a drawing of his son form last year. He further explains – “The drawing was inspired by my son’s radiance– that special radiance found in small children that glows with love and joy, and can part the clouds in the sky. Leonard Cohen wrote that ‘as our eyes grow accustomed to sight they armor […]

Releases: Faith XLVII x Hennessy – VS Cognac Bottle

Following in the footsteps of a long line of artists who have collaborated with Hennessy on their VS Cognac Bottle, Faith XLVII recently unveiled her contribution to the project. As the first female voice to join the Limited Editions series, the South African artist took inspiration from ancient alchemical manuscripts, sundials and calendars with a design that speaks to the seasons and the cyclical order of planetary movements. Take a look at the video below to hear more of her thoughts behind the collaboration… Discuss Faith47 here.

Tomorrow (July 9th) at 12 noon EST, KAWS will be releasing a new set of vinyl figures modeled after another combination of his Companion and BFF characters. Because of this added fundraising component, the NY-based artist has also added a few pieces from his personal inventory as well […]

BLM: Haroshi x HUF

Unfortunately, the looting that happened in Los Angeles did not leave artwork unscathed in certain locations. The iconic Haroshi (featured) middle finger sculpture that stood as the centerpiece at the HUF store since 2015 was damaged in the chaos of that weekend. The piece created from skateboard decks, as is the usual practice by the Japanese artist, has always stood as symbol of “fuck you” – a FU to “oppressors, to injustice, to violence, to racism, to authority, to inequality, and to anyone or anything working […]
