Releases: Jasper Wong – “POW! WOW! x HYPERFLY” Collaboration

Tomorrow at 10am, HYPERFLY will be releasing a collaboration with POW! WOW! founder Jasper Wong on their website. The collaboration between the Hawaii-based artist and the brand from the world of Jiu-Jitsu will feature a Gi, pants, rash guard and bag with the design inspired Wong’s studies in Kung Fu, as well as the saying, “catch a tiger by the tail.” Take a look at more photos below… Discuss Jasper Wong here.

Releases: Daniel Arsham – “PIKACHU Editions”

Alongside the Chinese exclusive WHITE CRYSTALIZED PIKACHU (available through the Archive Editions WeChat Mini-program), Daniel Arsham will also be releasing BLUE CRYSTALIZED PIKACHU on his website on April 24th (12 Noon Eastern Time) These editions are the first inklings of the New York-based artist’s collaboration with the Pokémon company and the animators from their studio. Releases: Audrey Kawasaki Coloring Pages

For all the kids (and adults) staying safe at home, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) has released a new coloring page that you can download for free and print out. You can see the process video of how she created the image on iPad Procreate on her Instagram here. This new offering joins her first coloring page from a few weeks back. Releases: James Jean – “The Editor – Cutaway” Print

On April 21st (10 AM Japan Time), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing a stunning new print through Adachi Hanga with proceeds going towards the institute’s mission of preserving of the traditional art of Japanese woodcut printing techniques by training young artisans and holding workshops. Releases: James Jean x Suarez – Jewelry Collection

James Jean (interviewed) has always had a thing for jewelry (see OVM line) and high fashion (i.e. 3.1 Phillip Lim & Prada) To that end, the Los Angeles-based artist has collaborated on a new collection with Joyería Suárez (you may remember D*Face’s line with the Spanish brand back last year) featuring designs inspired by his artwork and palette. Releases: Mobstr x Karborn – “HUH?” Anti Gravity Sculpture

Mobstr (interviewed) and Karborn recently collaborated on an intriguing new sculptural edition (unfortunately sold out). The set combined one of Mobstr’s most recognized reoccuring text based public works and Karborn’s anonymous figures. The HUH? release was in an edition of 10, with each letter measuring approximately 8 x 10 cm and featuring some “anti gravity” effects (seen in video here). ⁣ Discuss Mobstr here.

Update: Greg “Craola” Simkins – “Rabbit Season”

Recently, Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured) revealed a series of works he created centered around “ushers between worlds for day dreamers and wandering souls alike.” He was of course referring to the bunnies in his new Rabbit Season pieces, a look at what would have happened if a rabbit had taken the place of Mickey Mouse in Disney’s world. Returning to reinvent the ubiquitous Dunny whose form he designed 15 years ago for Kidrobot, Tristan Eaton has created the first metal version of the collectible.
