Since we are covering Art Basel Week Miami right now, this week’s new artist for our Art Focus is from the PULSE Art Fair showing at the Rena Bransten Gallery booth. Tracey Snelling is a Bay Area artist who creates mixed media installations incorporating photographs, miniature constructions of buildings or towns, video screens, and projections. We saw this amazing piece painstakingly constructed by Ms. Snelling that included advertising signage, loops of videos, ambient light, graffiti, and other details that encourage us to speculate on the lives of the imagined inhabitants.
