Earlier this month, the Buckwild Gallery brought 7th letter member EVOL and Fame City writer TEAL together for a special event highlighting their different styles and their own brand of art. Titled Femme Fatale, the event was filled with a collection of both prints and original works by EVOL, a group of paintings by TEAL, and special collaborations between the two which touched upon the female portrait as the core idea. EVOL’s style has a watercolor-like quality but it’s impressive to see what he can do on canvas, especially highlighted in the pieces in which he references the film¬†The Professional. At the same time, TEAL’s work contains an abstract quality which still manages to reference his style of graffiti. Overall, the show had a nice collection of artwork which should point to where their artwork is headed as we begin this new year.
