EVOL

Earlier this month, the Buckwild Gallery brought 7th letter member EVOL and Fame City writer TEAL together for a special event highlighting their different styles and their own brand of art. Titled Femme Fatale, the event was filled with a collection of both prints and original works by EVOL, a group of paintings by TEAL, and special collaborations between the two which touched upon the female portrait as the core idea. EVOL’s style has a watercolor-like quality but it’s impressive to see what he can do on canvas, especially highlighted in the pieces in which he references the film The Professional. At the same time, TEAL’s work contains an abstract quality which still manages to reference his style of graffiti. Overall, the show had a nice collection of artwork which should point to where their artwork is headed as we begin this new year.

Here are images from from the show which will run till February 11th…
