Last week, the Soze Gallery was proud to present the work and first L.A. exhibition from Jaybo Monk. Titled Silent/Listen, this show unveiled a number of paintings in which the artist fused an interesting style of portraiture, collage, and linear perspective. Also utilizing the human body as the focus to various of his pieces, the French-born artist managed to present a collection of art which felt both original and visually arresting. Apart from this work, a special collaboration was on display which featured Monk’s style infused onto a canvas piece from artist Augustine Kofie.
