Ryan Travis Christian has been busy preparing for his The Second Banana exhibition opening tonight over at Guerrero Gallery. His latest solo show incorporates painting, sculpture, video and some massive instillation. From what we have seen, this work dives, not only deeper into the the finer things in life we all enjoy such as the love of a childhood sports, but also goes as far as exploring the more tabu subjects found within general mainstream society just under the surface. Normally lighter illustration based pieces seem to lean more to the misunderstood, the undiscussed,  the paranormal and so much more. This show is sure to be a turning point in the way Christian approaches his work with clear progression.  If you have the opportunity we strongly suggest you give this show a look.
