Ripo (aka Max Rippon) is a New York City native currently residing in Barcelona, where he has steadily been preparing for his latest show Cut From The Chase opening at White Walls in San Francisco. In recent years, Ripo has flown all over the globe, getting up with his large scale crafty typography in 36 something countries, while managing to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground. In this latest body of work, Ripo (who is clearly no novice when it comes to flipping his script), explores the ins and outs of words, word plays, the similarities between them and in some cases, the similarities as polar opposites. This show features over 20 new works on paper with various multi-layered techniques, and innovative processes not previously seen from Ripo.
