On September 7th, the Freemans location of Salon94 in New York will be opening a small group show from Mary Frey, Pat McCarthy, JJ PEET and Tom Sachs (seen above). The artists met in a class taught by PEET at the 92nd Street Y and still meet weekly to make, fire, and glaze. Frey puts it, “Our weekly ritual takes place within the clubhouse where we eat together, share knowledge, discuss, make pots, talk shit and dream.” The creative results of these sessions have been gathered together and collectively titled Satan Ceramics and will be available to the public when the exhibition opens.
