With the new year soon upon us, it looks Colin Christian’s (interviewed) work will be taking a disturbing turn. Fans of the Florida-based artist can see the new direction themselves when Trypophobia opens on January 3rd at the Stephen Romano Gallery in New York. As the title, which means a pathological fear of holes suggests, a more grotesque series of sculptural pieces will be greeting collectors in contrast to Christian’s usual cosplay-themed and sometimes erotic work. Available at the exhibition will be a catalog with texts by Kris Kuksi, Allison Meier, and Samuel D. Gliner.
