Tonight in Istanbul, Robert Montgomery will be opening his first solo show in Turkey at the cultural hub situated in Galatasaray and Karaköy – ISTANBUL’74. Featuring his watercolors and his iconic light installations, the exhibition will be kind of a mini-retrospective.
For members, there will be an artist talk at Soho House on Friday at 7pm. Also, grab a copy of Time Out Istanbul as there is a nice interview and feature on the London-based artist in the most recent issue.
Montgomery further states – “Istanbul has inspired me since my first visit in 2010. I love the mixture of voices and the mixture of cultures- the call to prayer at sunset mixing with the sound of Nirvana songs from the cafes of Galata for me sums up the wonderful cultural diversity and spirituality of the city.”
