Tomorrow (May 2nd) at the Seattle Art Museum, Rebirth Of The World, a solo show from Chiho Aoshima, will open to a public. The Takashi Murakami protégé from his Kaikai Kiki Collective is known for her fantasy worlds of ghosts, zombies, and teenage girls, oftentimes created with a digital technique. For this exhibition, the Japanese artist has prepared colorful large-scale dreamscapes printed on plexiglass, 35 drawings on paper, and an animation that will be shown in public for the first time. You can also meet Aoshima tomorrow as part of the museum’s Free First Saturday events where she will be holding a collaborative workshop.
