After sharing some initial photos of artists painting murals for the Vitality and Verve: Transforming the Urban Landscape exhibition opening June 26th at the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA), we now have some more shots for you from over the weekend. Seen are Cryptik continuing to build his wall up with his signature urban calligraphy, Andrew Schoultz working with his recognizable iconography with plans to integrate some sculptural elements, and Jeff Soto remixing his Sotofish installation.
Put on in collaboration by Thinkspace Gallery, the people behind POW! WOW!, and LBMA, the show will also include works from Audrey Kawasaki, Aaron Horkey, Brendan Monroe, Esao Andrews, Greg “Craola” Simkins, Hot Tea, James Bullough, Nosego, Alex Yanes, Brandon Shigeta, John S. Culqui, Low Bros, Meggs, Nychos, Saber, and Tristan Eaton. Make sure you make plans for the opening this Friday night (Admission is $10 for non-members), as well as heading over to check out the outdoor murals for POW! WOW! Long Beach which the artist started painting today (addresses here).
