On October 2nd, David Lyle will be opening a new show at 111 Minna in San Francisco featuring a series of works collectively entitled Damaged Goods. The New York-based artist takes inspiration from found vintage photos which he recreates with a twist, seeding each image with unexpected modern day references. He further states – “These paintings are American moments for our psyches to reflect upon and yet they are personal satirical commentaries of events going on in and around my life.”
