EGO’s The Time Is Never features characters with enough charming personality to overcome their stereotypical spookiness. Symbology used in several pieces, along with star fields, lends an alien or sci-fi mix to the show.
Just up the stairs, Grady Gordon’s prints in Been Seeing You Around Lately offer a look into a mythological world governed by shadows. The less-than-conventional method of printmaking is a study in the monotype process, where ink is manipulated to create an image on a flat surface, then pressed to the paper as a one-off affair.
Both exhibitions will be on display at Flatcolor through the end of the month.
