Goldfish Salvation, Riusuke Fukahori’s second solo show with the Joshua Liner Gallery in New York will be opening on November 19th. Featuring his favorite subjects made obvious by the title of the show, the Japanese artist has prepared his signature three-dimensional acrylic and resin paintings of goldfish including his largest work-to-date. Through an exhaustive process, each piece is built up layer by layer while observing his fish companions held in dozens of tanks and bowls around his Yokohama studio. Along with these instantly recognizable works, he will also be exhibiting a series of acrylic works on canvas and wood, as well as his first video work.
