Tomorrow night (March 5th) at KP Projects // MKG, Victor Castillo will be opening his fourth showing with the West Hollywood gallery. Born in ’73 is a self-reflective new body of work according to the locally-based artist – he was born about the same time the military dictatorship was established in Chile in 1973. The feelings of fear from the brutal political system can often be seen in the undertones of his paintings that on the surface feature children happily playing. Included in the exhibition will be eight new paintings on canvas and ten on paper, including one of Castillo’s biggest to date. Take look at the preview video below…
