Coming up on June 18th, Library Street Collective in Detroit will be opening up a solo show by graffiti legend Futura. Entitled NEW HORIZONS, the exhibition will feature imagery that fans of the street pioneer have come to love – gyroscopes, nebulae, and other abstracted structures as well as some of his pointman characters. The new work gives a nod to local culture with titles like Shelby Yellow, Pistons, and Tiger Stripe that Motown residents will be sure to recognize. Also, in association with the showing, he will be unveiling a new series for PUBLIC MATTER, a rotating collection of large-scale pieces on view in the vibrant outdoor space of the BELT Alley.
