Continuing his long-time collaboration with Galerie Perrotin, Takashi Murakami will be opening a new solo at the three Paris locations tomorrow night (September 10th). Learning the Magic of Painting will be the renowned Japanese artist’s 12th showing in over 20 years with the gallery and will feature over 40 artworks. Included in the exhibition will be some pieces from his recent retrospective at the Mori Art Museum (covered), a group of works focusing on the theme of arhats, some painting from his Ensō series, and a new set of diptychs & triptychs inspired by the work of mid-20th century master Francis Bacon.
