This Friday night (March 23rd) in Miami, Michael Kagan (featured) will be presenting a new body of work at Bill Brady in his first showing with the gallery. We Have Felt The Ground Shake will continue the Brooklyn-based artist’s loose renderings of Apollo astronauts who have touched down on the moon, a metaphor for man’s triumph over nature. Kagan further explains – “The paintings can work on their own or tell a story when shown together. The Mercury astronauts were the test pilots the ones that showed man can go into space. The Apollo astronauts were the guys who slam dunked the ball. It was always about getting to the moon.”
