Taking over three floors of Galerie Perrotin’s New York LES location, Takashi Murakami’s latest show was unveiled last night to the delight of his fans. Entitled HEADS↔HEADS, the body of work on display was dominated by a series of paintings inspired by the work of Francis Bacon as well as a monumental 33 feet long piece that was a homage to Japanese artist Soga Shohaku. Rounding out the exhibition from the Japanese artist was a room of studies and blueprint concept sketches that gave a glimpse into his creative process.
