A show that closed just last weekend at the Jealous Gallery in London was a collection of sculptures that might not be for the faint of heart. Broken (previewed), from Jessica Harrison, is comprised of a series of classic delicate figurines common in the UK but with a gory twist. For this particular line of work from the multi-talented artist, the dancing ladies don’t let a little disembowelment or unroofing of their brains get in the way of their fun, seemingly oblivious to the various mutilations Harrison puts them through.
