Tomorrow night (October 20th) on Melrose, the Gallery 1988 will be hosting Roland Tamayo’s (interviewed) first solo in Los Angeles where he will be unveiling a series of paintings inspired by his experiences as a new father. Entitled Where The Heart Is, the new body of work features his signature mix of the natural world and the technological, leading to novel hybrid creatures and situations. For this showing, Tamayo will also be playing with images from his hometown, sea creatures, and nostalgic thoughts, and pop culture that his children are starting to enjoy as well.
