What better way to ring in the holidays than with one of your favorite artists – Mark Ryden. Like his signing in New York from earlier this year, the low brow luminary will be autographing two of his recent monographs at the Taschen store in Los Angeles (Farmer’s Market location, December 23rd, 7-9pm, RSVP: [email protected]) . The newer of the two, The Gay 90s, published by Rizzoli, illustrates the works included Ryden’s 2010 exhibition The Gay 90s: Old Thyme Art Show at Paul Kasmin Gallery (covered) while Pinxit by Taschen is a more comprehensive overview of the LA-based painter’s work organized by the themes of his major exhibitions.
