On September 16th, the Luna Rienne Gallery in San Francisco will play host to the opening for Cosmic Dust, a solo from David Choong Lee. The new body of work will be somewhat of a departure for the locally based artist as he moves away from including portraiture in his imagery. The wholly abstract paintings will feature patterns and organic components that seem to reference alien worlds. No word yet whether there will be installations like the amazing two-story assemblages he created for the Grand Hyatt SF in Union Square (covered), but we can only hope.
