This Saturday, May 23rd, CHG Circa in Culver City will be opening a group show entitled Product Displacement. Participants were asked to consider the “interruption” of the media and arts by the insertion of commercial advertising when creating a piece for the show. Much like the invasion of consumerism into our everyday lives, brands and products have invaded these artist’s works.
The roster includes Andrew Brandou, Ben Frost, Brandi Milne, Brian Donnelly, Buff Monster, Bumblebeelovesyou, Mikael Brandup, Carlos Ramos, Eric Joyner, Greg Gossel, Luke Chueh, Michael Mararian, Nouar, Redd Walitzki, Richard J. Oliver, Ron English, SHAG, Sylvia Ji, Travis Lampe, Van Arno, and Yoh Nagao.
