Today at the Hudson River Museum, sculptor Thomas Doyle is opening a new show entitled If The Creek Don’t Rise. The first museum solo for the Westchester County-based artist will feature more of his signature miniatures that center on the suburban home and the families that occupy them, often threatened by chaos and calamity – known and unknown. Along with smaller scale works, the showstopper will a swollen riverbed that crosses the gallery space double dammed up by paraphernalia in two directions with a house in between.
