Miniature specialist Thomas Doyle recently entered this piece “Firing for Effect” into the ArtPrize event in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Although he did not win, this wonderful new sculptural work featuring a sphere within a sphere was exhibited at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and illustrates how increasingly complex his work is becoming. We’re looking forward to his future solo show at LeBasse Projects (currently projected to be towards the end of 2011), where he last showed in May (covered).
