Our good friends at StolenSpace just sent us a little look into their coming show with renowned punk band Green Day. The show curated by Logan Hicks (featured) features a strong lineup of urban artists such as Ron English (featured),Â London Police, C215, Will Barras, Eelus, Chris Stain (interviewed), Sixten, Adam 5100 each doing a piece inspired by Green Day’s music. Darren Romanelli (Dr. Romanelli) and Eric Nakamura (Giant Robot) recently opened a one-night only pop up show featuring new works by AM favorite Masakatsu Sashie in Los Angeles (previewed). The show paid tribute to the bandÂ T-Rex (led by Marc Bolan), who is one of Sashie’s favorite bands growing up. The show benefited theÂ Light of Love Foundation charity. In preparation for his â€œSupply and Demandâ€ retrospective exhibition moving toÂ the Warhol Museum (teased), Shepard Fairey (featured) is already workingÂ the streets of Pittsburgh. These beautiful muralsÂ built by Shepard & crew are jaw-dropping to behold, that isÂ if you’re lucky enough to bump into one. If you’re visiting the city for a day or two, it may be difficult to find time to hunt them downÂ throughout the city. AM stopped by the Nuit Blanche festival in Paris and got to catch the tail end of JR and crew wheat pasting their ginormous photo installations for his “Women are Heroes” (previewed) show which is part of his 28 Millimetre project (We were wondering how he got to the lower parts of the bridges). Benefit: Gary Baseman Drawing for Cultural Canvas Thailand

It’s always great fun to catch up with friends/artists at events like Baby Tattooville. In fact, enjoyed ourselves so much with Gary Baseman and gangÂ that we almost forgot to mention his benefit auction for Cultural Canvas Thailand – a Thai art charity looks to help single mothers and children. Gary has generously donated an awesome drawing measuring 6 feet x 3 feet for this cause. Check out the auction here, but hurry cause thisÂ ends a little after midnight tonight. When we brought you a first look (here) at the A-list “Pop Life” exhibition at the Tate Modern yesterday, we neglected to mention that the short film “Akihabara Majokko Princess” from Murakami was included. Created in collaboration with one of Hollywood’s hottest directors, McG (Charlies Angels & Terminator Salvation), the video is yet another extension of Takashi’s renowned short film artform which previously featured Louis Vuitton, Inochi, & Kanye West. Baby Tattooville ’09: Art Jam

If the artists at Baby Tattooville are the heart of the event, then the “Art Jam” is definitely the bloodline that is pumping throughout the event. Last week, Tate Modern opened the doors to a highly anticipated group show based on Andy Warhol’s famous quote: good business is the best art. An ensemble made up of the top names in the contemporary art scene such as Tracey Emin, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Martin Kippenberger, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Gavin Turk, Richard Prince, and Cosey Fanni Tutti are included in this “Pop Life” exhibition (teased) and many were on hand for the opening reception.
