Openings: Manifest Hope DC

AM brings you a preview from the ever busy set up at the “pop-up” Manifest Hope gallery at the Nation’s capital.  Tomorrow is almost here, and the gallery is set to open at 10 am for all the people who are in town to see the inauguration.  Manifest Hope will be opened during MLK weekend and but will be closed on Tuesday to observe the Presidential inauguration. Setup: Manifest Hope – DC

AM is on-site at Manifest Hope DC and it is getting hectic at the gallery. It’s midnight here and the crew of over 30 volunteers are now running on Red Bull and Red Stripe. We are at ground zero of this awesome show and only a few days before the show goes live. One of the artists that most impressed us at Art Basel, Mark Ryden, is set to show in one of Japan’s most prestigious galleries Tomio Koyama in February. Last night, Jonathan Levine hosted an exclusive friends and family viewing of James Jean’s Kindling. The Chelsea gallery was filled from the opening minutes with many New York art notables including: Susan Sarandon, Eric White, David Choe, Jonathan Viner, Esao Andrew, Travis Louie, and Molly Crabapple.
