Baby Tattooville ’10: “California Kustom” Museum Reception

As blissful and adventurous as the confines of the Mission Inn (where everything usually goes down) are, sometimes it is good to leave and take a field trip during Baby Tattooville. As has become tradition for the event, the Riverside Art Museum, in conjunction with BT, opened an exhibition featuring artists from the weekend-long extravaganza. The show—which unlike other BT events is open to the public—includes fantastic works by Robert and Suzanne Williams, Ron English, Coop, Michael Hussar, Anthony Ausgang, William Stout, Spain Rodriguez, Van […]

Baby Tattooville ’10: Print Shop Presented by Diesel Fuel Prints

If you collect prints, you’re probably used to pressing a few buttons on your favorite artist’s website and having art show up at your door a few days later in a (hopefully uncrushed) tube.  But do you have any idea how your prints are made or how much effort was put into each piece?  Well, attendees of Baby Tattooville this year now do. At the Secret Society gathering, guests were treated to a special screenprinting demonstration by Andy from Diesel Fuel Prints and had the […]

There was an Audrey Kawasaki original, a gigantic limited edition print by the man of honor, Robert Williams, customized figures, tons of books, and various other desireables. Those who paid for their […]

Baby Tattooville ‘10 – Artist Dinner and Collaboration Drawing

Baby Tattooville 2010 is underway!  The day before the official madness began, featured artists were able to take a moment to catch up with one another over dinner and learn what BT is all about from the ringmaster himself, Bob Self.  Proudly sponsored by Arrested Motion, artists and crew spent their first night in Riverside dining on delicious fried catfish, tortas, and burritos at BT fave eccentric dining spot Tio’s Tacos. Afterwards, it was back to the historic Mission Inn, BT headquarters, so that the […]
