Previews: Clare Rojas @ Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld

With the private opening set tonight and the public unveiling on November 11th, Clare Rojas’ new exhibition is set to give her fans in New York a look at her recent abstract work. Hosted by Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, the show will mark her return to the Big Apple with 24 new paintings and drawings from the SF-based artist that deal with “ideas of balance and harmony through color and space.” Along with these pieces, she has also written three poems with will be on display. Streets: ESPO (Copenhagen) – Part 2

After bringing you an in-progress look at the massive mural Stephen Powers was working on in front of the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen last week, we now have photos of the completed wraparound piece to share. AM recently attended the opening of Tara McPherson’s newest show at Jonathan LeVine, her third solo with the Chelsea gallery. Inspired by the unexplored realms of deep space and deep sea, Wandering Luminations features the Brooklyn-based artist’s surreal portraiture of females and creatures all rendered in her signature palette of pinks and teals. Previews: Herakut – “Don’t Look At Me” @ Shooting Gallery

On Saturday night, November 9th, artistic duo Herakut will be opening a new show at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco entitled Don’t Look At Me. The collaborative acrylic and spray paint works on canvas from Hera (interviewed) and Akut often exude a raw and emotionally charged feel to them and mirror the German artists’ creative output on the streets. Releases: David Choe – “Pizza Party!” Prints

Later today (3:00 PST), David Choe (featured) will be releasing a series of pizza inspired prints from Trapeze Editions. Sized at 22″ x 28″ and costing $149, the images are rendered with Choe’s signature watercolor technique and will come in three variants – the Loaded Edition of 187, the Pepperoni Edition of 23, and the Cheese Edition of 7.
