Releases: Jeff Soto – Eddie Vedder Screenprint (Providence 2011)

Next Friday, June 22nd, Jeff Soto (interviewed) will be releasing a new five color screenprint on his webstore. Limited to a signed edition of 100 and costing $65, the print celebrates the first night of Pearl Jam lead vocalist Eddie Vedder’s US Tour. This is not the first time Jeff has worked with the American rock band if you remember. Some in-progress shots after the jump…

Currently showing in Morocco at the David Bloch Gallery is their summer group show, apparently part 3 of their Hall of Fame series. Of interest, among a group of international artists, is the inclusion of some artists we follow like Dave Kinsey, Augustine Kofie, and Remed. The show runs through August, so stop by if you happen to be in Marrakech. Otherwise, take a look at some pics Kinsey sent us after the jump…

Last week in Copenhagen, LA-based Geoff McFetridge opened his show US AS A LOGO at the V1 Gallery. The multidisciplinary artist, who seems to have no creative boundaries, has worked with poetry, animation, graphic design, creating title sequences for movies like Virgin Suicides, Adaptation and Where The Wild Things Are as well as the skateboard ramps seen in the Art in the Streets exhibition. After his team effort with compatriot Ericailcane in Fabriano, Italy, the fast moving Blu has moved on to and completed the new mural we told you about in Germany. Wouldn’t we all like to chop off the Medusa head of rising gasoline prices? Openings: Ryan McGinness – “SponsorshipREDUX” @ Subliminal Projects

Last Saturday, Ryan McGinness hit up the final leg of his exhibition schedule in LA with a show at Subliminal Projects. SponsorshipREDUX is a remix of his 2003 show, where corporate logos were sized on the gallery walls according to their level of sponsorship for the exhibition. This time around, the logos (including ours), were deconstructed and the parts used as compositional ingredients in a series of four paintings and two print editions.
