Because we are young collectors, we haven’t had much opportunities to watch an artist’s career blossom from the very beginnings. The second annual Baby Tattooville is fast approaching (October 3-5). This unique event, billed as a “limited edition retreat for artists & collectors,” has grown on us and Arrested Motion will be on hand to cover the event. The idea was for 50 paying attendees to spend the weekend participating in scheduled activities (panels, workshops, etc) and to socialize with the eventâ€™s artists. Many have waited with baited breath for the first photos from Audrey Kawasaki’s first solo show out of the States to appear on the net. She finally had a chance to upload show photos from Mondo Bizzarro (Italy) onto her blog yesterday. For a couple weeks, the only image available was her next to her showstopper “Two Sisters” that had been floating around on flickr.
