This Saturday (March 15), Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing her next time limited edition. Entitled Maybe Tomorrow and based off a painting she exhibited during SCOPE Miami, the print will be available from 12 am (midnight) Pacific time and ends after 24 hours with the edition size determined by the amount of orders. Returning to the site of his 2010 Los Angeles solo (covered), Cleon Peterson brought his hard-hitting imagery for his currently showing exhibition at New Image Art entitled End of Days. The collection of paintings feature a limited palette of black & white or black & red, making the brutal details all the more evident when rendered in a uniform color scheme. Tonight (March 7th) in the Philippines, Gary Baseman’s (interviewed) will be opening a show at Vinyl on Vinyl entitled Play With Us Or Else. Along with paintings, art toys, and costumed fun, the Los Angeles-based artist will also be signing the catalogue from his first museum retrospective, The Door Is Always Open, held at the Skirball Cultural Center last year. Openings: Greg Eason – “Four Fish of the Apocalypse” @ Breeze Block Gallery

Earlier this month, the Breeze Block Gallery welcomed in several artists to display their works at the Portland showspace. One of these was the London-based Greg Eason, who made the trip over personally to present his detailed graphite drawings. The series of works were collectively entitled Four Fish of the Apocalypse, and use carefully selected images to illustrate his version of some of the Book of Revelation (Chapter 6 of the King James Bible).
